Worship

Our Traditional Worship Service begins each week at 9am in the Sanctuary. If you enjoy liturgical worship in a traditional setting with congregational hymns and organ music, then this service is for you!

Our 11am Contemporary Worship Service, the Gathering, emphasizes creative worship with live music and great coffee. We strive to bring a fresh, exciting, and meaningful worship experience every Sunday.

  • We offer both traditional and contemporary styles of worship every Sunday.

  • Keith Memorial United Methodist Church is located on Madison Avenue in Athens, Tennessee. From downtown, take Madison Avenue towards Riceville. The church is approximately .5 miles on the right: 600 West Madison Avenue Athens, Tennessee, 37303

  • There are parking lots on both sides of the Church building. Due to parking and finding your way to the sanctuary or The Gathering (modern service), plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your worship service. Our Sunday school classes meet every Sunday morning from 10-10:45am. Our Worship services begin at 9am for Traditional Worship (Sanctuary) and 11am for Contemporary Worship (The Gathering).

  • Dress comfortably. People do dress up for sanctuary services and more casually for The Gathering. Don’t worry about your attire, just come and experience Keith Church!

  • Keith Church is a safe sanctuary for children. We have a Child Protection Policy in place, which includes a national criminal background check for all adults working with our children.  Our infant nursery (infants through children younger than 2 years of age) and toddler nursery (children ages 2 through 4 years) are staffed by nurturing and caring adults from 9am-12pm. Our Sunday School classes meet from 10–10:45am for children three years old through the 5th grade, as well as youth (6th through 12th grade). From 11am–12pm. children in Kindergarten and older attend worship with their families.

Wednesday Nights @ Keith

Wednesday nights are an important gathering time for our community. We share a meal, fellowship with a small group or Bible Study, or volunteer to help. The schedule of activities is outlined in the graphic.
