Keith Music Ministries

Our Musical Tradition

The traditional music ministry at Keith Memorial United Methodist Church is a cornerstone of our liturgical worship that is dedicated to glorifying God through the rich heritage of sacred music. Set within the beauty of our 9:00 am Sanctuary service, this ministry invites the congregation into a deep and reflective worship experience.

Our services are anchored by the timeless sound of the organ and the collective voice of the congregation. We celebrate the great hymns of the faith, blending traditional liturgy with high-quality choral and instrumental offerings.

Chancel Choir, Pipe Organ, and Piano

The heart of our vocal ministry, the choir leads the congregation in song and performs inspiring anthems ranging from classical work to beloved sacred arrangements. Our worship is elevated by the majestic sounds of our sanctuary organ, a two-manual Reuter installed in 1976.

Special Services

Throughout the year, the music ministry presents major works and seasonal programs, including our annual Hanging of the Greens, Holy Week services, and special concert events like the McGill Sterchi Concert Series.

Charles Wesley Singers

The children’s choirs at Keith boast a long history of instilling the power of ministry through music into our future leaders. The Charles Wesley Singers is open to any student from K-5th grade and sing quarterly in either the traditional Sanctuary service or The Gathering, Keith’s contemporary service.

Keith Ringers

Since the 1980s, the Keith Ringers have been a strong part of the traditional musical ministry. This ensemble of 14 ringers typically play for worship quarterly and can also be found playing throughout the community on special occasions.

Are You Looking For Something a Little Different?

In addition to our fantastic Sanctuary Worship music, we also offer a more contemporary style of music in The Gathering service. The music style can be described as a “modern Southern Gospel mixed with Contemporary Christian.” The four piece ensemble features one of the South’s premier banjo pickers with an acoustic guitar, keyboard, and percussion artists second to none.

The goal of The Gathering’s band is to create a setting of praise and worship for the participants to engage with them. Their goal is to be the foundation for the worship and not the focus. The musical experience is the highest quality contemporary worship you will find.

Whether you are a lifelong lover of sacred music or looking for a space of peaceful, reverent worship, we invite you to lift your voice with us.
