Keith Kids
The mission of Keith Kids, the children’s ministry of Keith Memorial UMC, is to build a foundation of discipleship among children so that they grow to become disciples of Jesus Christ and make a difference in our communities and our world.
The foundation begins in our nurseries where we offer warm, safe, and nurturing environments. We provide the care necessary at every age with plenty of space for free play. As our children grow, so do our opportunities for involvement in age appropriate classes, events, and activities. Children learn through worship, music, play, storytelling, and participation in special events.
Nurseries are offered each Sunday beginning at 9am through the 10am Sunday School hour and the 11am worship service. Nursery groups are divided by ages: Infant Nursery (birth through 23 months) and 2- & 3-Year-Old Nursery.
We are a Cooperative Nursery Program. We are able to offer nurseries for every age group because of our wonderful parent volunteers. If your child receives care in our nurseries during worship services, we ask that you serve in the volunteer rotation. By increasing our number of volunteers, we also increase the number of services all parent volunteers are able to attend!
Our Keith Kids Sunday School classes meet every Sunday at 10am. We hope you’ll join us!
Sunday School teachers use age-appropriate materials rooted in scripture and filled with fun activities that encourage participation and further each child’s Christian formation. Classes are divided as follows:
Nurseries: Birth to 23 months and 2- & 3-Year-Olds
Preschool-Second Grade
Third, Fourth, & Fifth Grades
Throughout the school year, the Keith Kids take part in weekly activities Wednesday nights from 6pm–7pm, except during fall break, holidays, spring break, and during special services.
